Best of the Week on PrusaPrinters 003

Updated: Mar 22, 2020

This week there are several beautiful succulent planters, an absolutely awesome air-powered toy car, and dominoes for the visually impaired. If you're stuck at home during this Coronavirus pandemic, take the opportunity to be creative and try new things! Step toward the people around you who may need you, and help others weather the storm.

If you have requests, suggestions, complaints, or anything else, I'd love to hear from you at underwoodmakes@gmail.com!

The Weekend Print: Garden Tomb Succulent Planter

Designer: Qrome

Print time on i3MK3S: About 7 hours

Designer Qrome posted several quaint succulent planters this week. This one is just in time for Easter coming up in a few weeks! It's a very easy print with a few simple overhangs. Maybe try printing with some PLA with wood infill for this one!

Skill Builder: Vapemobile - Air-Powered Toy Car

Designer: Slava Z.

Print time on i3MK3S: About 24 hours

This car is designed to run on air power, no batteries required! There's a radial engine variant here and a pneumatic remote control here too! I would have been absolutely enthralled playing with this as a kid. Check out the video of it running around on the designer's YouTube channel here.

Notable News: 3D Printing Against COVID-19

COVID-19 has the world's attention. With more and more people hospitalized, medical resources have been scarce in some places, but several stories have come out this week of people using 3D printing as an alternate way to make these medical supplies and save lives. To get involved, check out the resources on Fabbaloo's article here.
